The Christmas Haus Exclusive for 2019, 2020 & 2021
For 120 years the Müller family of Seiffen, Germany has been making only the finest handcrafted products. Roger Lund, the owner of The Christmas Haus, is honored to have been able to collaborate with the current generation owner, Ringo Müller, to create something exclusive to his store.
Over the years, Lund has designed items that were always done in a series of 3. It began in 2007 when he worked with the First Family of the Nutcracker, the Fütchner family of Seiffen, Germany, to create an exclusive set of nutcrackers over a 3 year period. That series has long been sold out. From 2010 to 2012 a series of Smokers were made working with various woodcarvers. Following this, Lund worked with Thomas Schaller of the Ino Schaller family in Neustadt bei Coburg, to create an exclusive series of Papier Mache Candy containers. From 2016-2018, the owner of The Christmas Haus worked with Nostalgie-Christbaumschmuck of Weimar, Germany to create 3 Fantasy Pieces from 2016-2018. These were patterned after Victorian Fantasy pieces popular in the late 1800s.
But this partnership with Ringo Müller is something entirely new. Together they created an idea that Müller had never conceived of before: a Centerpiece for a table, buffet or fireplace.
The Centerpiece consists of 3 pieces. The pieces are designed to be stand-alone, in a Round grouping or to be displayed Serpentine style. They depict the Christmas season of Seiffen, Germany in all its glory.
The first piece is a town scene with people milling around a vendor under the unique street sign Seiffen is famous for. The second piece is more fantasy-like as angels cavort around Santa Claus and a beautifully decorated tree. These 2 pieces are semi-circular. The third piece sits between them on a raised platform. It is the iconic Church of Seiffen with lamplights that glow using LED lighting. This set is a magical addition to anyone’s collection of German heirlooms.
